Excellent zoom camera

I was debating whether or not to get this camera or a canon sx30is, although the difference in optical zoom was only 1x, what really made me decide to get this camera was it's size and the image quality. I have to also mention the option to take panoramic pics on scene mode, love that function! I'm not a professional photographer so I use the auto mode a lot and it's amazing!! Really love this camera and glad i bought it.
